Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about DTF printing, artwork prep, ordering, and applying transfers.
About DTF
Direct-to-Film (DTF) is a printing process where designs are printed onto a special PET film using water-based CMYK and White inks. An adhesive powder is applied and melted onto the back, creating a highly durable, stretchable transfer that can be heat-pressed onto garments.
Extremely durable. When pressed correctly, our DTF transfers have been tested to last over 50 wash cycles without cracking, peeling, or fading. They offer superior stretch and rebound compared to traditional vinyl.
Unlike dye sublimation which requires high polyester content, DTF transfers apply perfectly to almost anything: 100% Cotton, 100% Polyester, Cotton/Poly Blends, Nylon, Denim, Canvas, and even Leather.
No, we specialize strictly in printing the transfers and supplying them to you. This allows garment decorators, streetwear brands, and local businesses to press the designs themselves onto their preferred blank items.
Artwork & Files
We accept high-resolution PNG, SVG, or PDF files. All files must have a fully transparent background. We do not accept JPG or format types with baked-in backgrounds.
For the crispest edges and most vibrant colors, your artwork should be exactly the size you wish to print, saved at exactly 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch). Upscaling a low-resolution web image to 300 DPI will still result in blurry prints.
Yes! Our printers print exactly what is in the file. If you upload a logo with a white or black background box behind it, that box will be printed and transferred to your garment. Ensure your backgrounds are genuinely transparent.
You don't need to! Just supply standard CMYK or RGB artwork with a transparent background. Our RIP software automatically generates a solid white underbase for all opaque pixels in your design.

Application
We recommend a pressing temperature of 160°C (320°F) for 15 seconds. For sensitive polyester garments prone to dye-migration, you can drop this to 140°C for 10 seconds.
Our premium films are **Cold Peel**. After the 15-second press, remove the garment from the heat press and allow it to cool completely before peeling the transparent film away in one smooth, confident motion.
Yes, a second press is highly recommended. After peeling the film, cover the exposed design with a Teflon sheet or matte parchment paper and press again for 5 seconds. This drives the transfer deep into the fabric grain and removes any glossy sheen, leaving a premium matte finish.
Wait at least 24 hours after application before the first wash to allow the adhesive to fully cure. Wash inside-out on a cold, gentle cycle, and avoid tumble drying on high heat.
Shipping & Delivery
Yes, we ship nationwide using Australia Post Express Network or premium courier services depending on the order size. Metro deliveries usually arrive within 1-2 days after dispatch.
